Casa Polin is a characteristic rustic cottage, set in the stunning and tranquil Andalucian countryside. It is fully refurbished as a detached cottage to accommodate 2 / 3 persons for self-catering or Bed & Breakfast. It has a traditional style, which will let you enjoy very comfortable holidays. The cottage is extremely spacious and of high quality, within its extensive grounds which include a large swimming pool set in the olive grove and outstanding views of the surrounding Serrania of Ronda. Ronda is reached by car within 15 minutes. Ronda is one of the oldest towns of Spain, famous for culture, shopping, music, restaurants and its many "tapa" bars scattered throughout the town. To Jerez, where an airport is situated, you drive about 90 minutes. The same is with Seville and Málaga. It is one hour to the beaches of Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz. A drive to Córdoba will take you 2 hours, to Granada 2.5 hours. In our valley you will find a very calm area for total relaxation.

5% discount on bookings of 2 weeks. 10% discount on bookings of 3 weeks or more. For an extra person we charge 15 euros per day, and for well-behaved animals 10 euros.
Prices include cleaning, bedlinen, towels, a welcome pack (wines, beer, bread, eggs, milk etc), and logs (when seldom required!).
Change over day
Check-in is generally in the afternoon. Please inform the owners about your estimated arrival time at least 24 hours in advance. Check out time is noon.
Arrival / departure days are entirely flexible.

Very spacious sitting/dining room. A huge wooden table for three persons and a fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, electric hob and toaster. Moorish doors opening onto a terrace with barbecue area and beautiful landscaped garden.

Two comfortable rocking-chairs in front of the open fire invite to read a book.The walls, painted in blue, reflect the sky of Andalucia.The accommodation offers all facilities and comfort.
Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service
Self-catering - towels and linen are provided and changed on a weekly basis. The property is cleaned and the garden and pool maintained.
B&B - towels and linen changed every third day; cleaning on a daily basis; full breakfast provided in your cottage.
Notes on accommodation
The cottage is comfortably furnished and retains a cosy, characterful atmosphere. The private terrace is the perfect place to unwind and read your favourite book whilst you enjoy a freshly made continental breakfast with free-range local eggs, home-made jams and condiments, teas and coffee, fresh-baked bread, locally squeezed orange juice, local cheeses and serrano jamon (locally cured ham - delicious!).
The furnishings are of a high quality and suit the character of the period cottage perfectly.
The cottage suits adults and a child, and enjoys a high degree of privacy, with fantastic views all around.
Outside
The cottage has its own parking place and its own entrance, which quarantees privacy. A spacious terrace with traditional terracotta floors surrounds the huge swimming pool, which can be shared by the guests of the cottage.The 'casa rural' is located in an olive grove with 170 old olive trees, which are harvested by hand. The trees produce top quality extra virgin olive oil.The private terrace with its barbecue and a wooden table as well as the deckchairs invite you to enjoy peaceful holidays. Returning to the cottage in the evening, the patio is a marvellous place to be. Imagine sitting out in the open air, bathed in the warmth of the Andalusian night, gazing at the Roman ruins of Acinipo and the millions of stars above. A perfect place for a romantic dinner in the warm Andalusian night.
Coast/Beach
The coast of the Costa del Sol with its many sandy beaches, bars and restaurants is within an hour, whilst the Atlantic coast at Tarifa for wind surfing is another 45 mins. For the intrepid traveller, a day trip to Tanger is also possible with a fast ferryboat. From Algeciras it takes an hour to reach the excitement of North Africa.
Golf
Ronda will have a golf course soon, but for the time-being there are alternatives at Antequera (c.45 mins), Arcos (c.30 mins), and, of course, the Costa del Sol has dozens... around Marbella, Estepona, Mijas, Alhaurin, etc.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada is worth visiting, as is the wonderful city of Granada at the foot of the mountains. The Alhambra gets busy, so always book ahead. The flamenco here is also well worth checking out.
Travel
The airports of Malaga, Seville and Jerez are all approx 1½ hour drive and all are served by international airlines. The port of Algeciras is also about 1½ hour with the Northern Spanish ports of Santander and Bilbao approx 10 hours driving time from the house.

Local Details
Just down the road from the cottage you will find 'Arroyomolinos', a small hamlet with a fantastic bakery and a great restaurant (opens all the time in summer and at the weekends / holidays in the winter). There are literally dozens of restaurants in the area, many within 10-20 mins from the cottage. Dining out is inexpensive and the local food is both varied and excellent. Local villages offer good facilities, including small supermarkets, whilst Ronda itself boasts hundreds of restaurants and bars, as well as a plethora of cultural delights.
Further Details
This whole area, the Serrania of Ronda, is renowned for its outdoor activities: walking, rock climbing, cycling, paragliding, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, ballooning and wildlife watching. The owners of Finca Las Alfaquaras can offer tuition in painting and pottery. Trail riding is possible in the immediate vicinity.
